It's never easy when one of your favourite bands decide to call it a day... I'm still trying to fathom that this is THE week when Void Of Vision will commence their final lap around Australia before disbanding after 12 years together.

The music industry is a daunting place for artists, and following some much needed soul searching frontman Jack Bergin has decided it's time to go out on top. Prior to the announcement of Bergin taking the reigns as triple J's new heavy show host on CORE, he sat down with Browny for a candid interview to discuss everything from the reason for calling it a day, the legacy he'll personally be leaving behind and if there are any regrets or achievements not attainted during his twelve years screaming up front.

When quizzed about whether or not it was intentional to go out after releasing their best material to date, Jack elaborated:

"Not at the start, no way. The record name seems so fitting and aptly titled for everything that is going on, but I think that's the David Bowie inside me that pre-emptively may have given that an artistic approach [laughs]. But no. All we went into this record with was 'we're going to write the best Void Of Vision we ever have'; and we did and we checked that off so easily, and I think that along the way is what made this decision process so much easier".

'We're going to go out on the biggest tour we've ever done, the best record we've ever done with the best crowds we've ever played to."

The pair also spoke about whether there'll be any chance of VoV reforming in future for one-off shows and the three key moments that made Void Of Vision a household name - not only in Australia's heavy scene, but the metalcore community on a global scale.
