The Ego's Valley Australian Tour will see metalcore big hitters Deadlights and Mirrors whip around the country this month. To get everyone pumped as for this epic co-headline tour (with support from Sydney’s Inertia, we invited frontmen Dylan Davidson (Deadlights) & Patty Goodman (Mirrors) to interview each other!

Brisbane’s Deadlights released their sophomore album, The Uncanny Valley, via Greyscale Records in Mid 2021. Since then they have played a handful of headline shows, jumped around regional cities supporting Polaris and The Plot in You (USA). However, fans have been waiting for a tour dedicated to this mammoth record to see how the band present these epic tracks to us on their own stage.

Then there is Mirrors. The Gippsland legends had an epic set at Unify Forever, opened for Polaris in Melbourne and whipped around the country with While She Sleeps (UK). Their debut album, The Ego’s Weight, has been ripping into our ears since late last year. The release from Resist Records has received ongoing praise and just as with Deadlights, this album tour has been a long time coming for Mirrors fans. The band are no doubt destined to bring a whole new level of love to these songs when performing them to all of us on their terms.

Let’s let the guys take the reins here as they chat through the questions they have prepared for each other. We're gonna cover the tour, both of your albums, some sneaky little in-depth questions about the creative process and, of course, the hard hitters like ‘What do Jake from Mirrors' dreadlocks smell like?’ and ‘how DID Patty get SO shredded?’

Check out the full chat hosted by Lili Jean Berry below.
