It's a real mark of the extent of WA's isolation when it's cheaper for West Aussie bands to fly and tour South-East Asia, than it is to fly to the East coast for a run of shows... However you've gotta take the cards you're dealt, and Perth's AVASTERA have spent the past few years touring in support of some great names including Taylor Momsen & The Pretty Reckless, Silverstein, The Getaway Plan & a recent opening spot for Jonny Craig's latest project "Slaves"... and with the "Breathing Hope" EP & a critically acclaimed tour of SE Asia all wrapped up, AVASTERA are ready for their first full-on Aussie tour!

East coast fans, Chris and co. are especially keen to see you at the show(s) - dates below - but in the meantime take a chance if you're new to the band and get your ears around them. I first put them on thinking "I'm gonna fucking hate this" (self-confessed heavy metal purist) but you know what, I bloody loved 'em and now have it stuck on repeat. Powerful clean vocals, tied in with riffage that is textured, expressive and when the distortion kicks in, tighter than a fish's bumhole. And that's watertight!
