As the time ticks closer to the first weekend of Monolith Festival 2024 - kicking off November 2nd in Brisbane's Fortitude Music Hall - attention has now turned away from the main stage roster momentarily, and onto the stack of additional events held on-site at the prog fest.

As the doors open at 2 pm for the highly anticipated workshops on offer, fans will be getting up close and personal with a vast array of musicians from the lineup for unique experiences to chat music, instruments and more.

Workshops & Panels

As part of your ticket, you will have access to the workshops throughout the day at Outpost Bar located upstairs within Fortitude Music Hall. All workshops will have an opportunity for an audience Q&A.

Periphery Workshop: Hosted by Aussie virtuoso, Keyan, punters should prepare to join the band as they discuss the songwriting and creative processes, the band's studio vs live gear along with an audience Q&A session. If there's been a burning question you've wanted to put forth to Periphery, this is the time to do it.

Claudio Sanchez: 20 Years of Amory Wars: The Past, Present and Future: Get your seats quickly for this deep-dive into the wild world of Coheed & Cambria's graphic novel series. Hosted by superfan and journalist Nicholas Simonsen, attendees will be met with personal anecdotes and insights from Claudio Sanchez about the 20th Anniversary of The Amory Wars - from the early beginnings through to the current saga and well into the beyond. One not to be missed.

David Parkes: Drum Workshop: With Periphery skin hitter Matt Halpern sitting out of the Australian tour following the birth of his second child (congrats fam!) the enigmatic David Parkes (I Built The Sky) will be stepping in to fill the void on stage and for his very own drum workshop. Need a hand nailing that signature blastbeat section you've been working on, or just want to see how he smashes away up close? Make sure to check in for this one.

Keyan Guitar Workshop: There's a reason Keyan keeps popping up at the festival. The Jackson Guitars-endorsed shredder from RADelaide will bring a wealth of knowledge and know-how to his own workshop. As a player experience with essentially every pickup brand under the sun, chances are you'll walk away from this with a profound appreciation of the intricate musicianship on offer, and learn a thing or two for your own arsenal.

Please note there will be no artist signings at the workshops.
