Lamb of God Announces Ashes of the Wake Anniversary Edition and New Collab with Kublai Khan TX & Malevolence

Lamb of God are set for a big 2024 as their celebrate the 20th anniversary of their seminal breakthrough Ashes of the Wake. Fresh off their performances for Knotfest Australia (both festival and headline gigs), they'll be heading out on tour with Mastodon on the Ashes of Leviathan tour in July where both bands will play their 20 year old albums in full (Mastodon celebrating Leviathan's anniversary). They had previously played the full album for a live stream in 2020 (review here).The band have just announced the Ashes of the Wake - 20th Anniversary Edition, which features not only the original eleven tracks but pre-production demos, a live track, remixes by HEALTH and Justin K Broadrick of Godflesh, and a brand spanking new collaboration with members of Malevolence and Kublai Khan TX.'Another Nail in Your Coffin' was originally recorded during the Ashes... sessions and released as a bonus track in Japan and on the 15th anniversary edition in 2019. This re-recorded version combines Randy Blythe's trademark rasp with Alex Taylor adding his growl and Matt Honeycutt dropping in his hardcore grunts. I’m glad to see this tune get some shine after all this time!”It's not the first time Lamb of God dropped a collaboration before touring, they've previously teamed up with Dave Mustaine to re-record Megadeth's 'Wake Up Dead' and issued an original song, 'State of Unrest', with Kreator.
