We've been following New Zealand's No Life for a little bit now and the progression they've showcased with each new song is nothing short of impressive. Following on from the release of their Delinquent EP, and their recently dropped 'Identity Crisis' single, the lads return with a brand new thumper and a guest collab that'll raise a few eyebrows.Emmure have provided their talent into 'Obnoxious', a ferocious display of modern nu-metalcore with signature programming synths that deliver a Matrix-esque background sound to an otherwise heavy hit. The song itself is about "calling out deadbeats that leech off of others" that "carry little respect for those around them". No doubt relatable to the majority of us - the end result will further continue to see the NZ band of brothers rise - ahead of their eventual relocation to Australia as discussed in our last check-in with vocalist ConnorDickson.Back to 'Obnoxious', Connor also shares:

"With the current state of the world and the climate we find ourselves in, we pull no punches and say what everyone is thinking... We wanted this track to be abrasive, and we leaned into utilising elements and a soundscape not entirely heard in modern metalcore."

No Life - NZ Tour - Tickets Here[/caption]The growing trend of metalcore acts dabbling with EDM synth and sounds is expanding into new territory with heavy programming becoming a hot addition thanks to bands like Emmure, AlpaWolf, ten56 and Darko (US) - could No Life find themselves playing with the big boys if they continue done this dark path? We think so!Catch the band on tour across New Zealand and keep your toes, fingers and eyes crossed for more from the land down under in due course...Words by Paul ‘Browny’ Brown@brownypaul
