Wage War Let Loose on 'NAIL5' - Taken from Forthcoming 5th Album, STIGMA

After tearing up stages at Knotfest Australia last month (and sideshows) Wage War have just announced some pretty big news to keep the momentum flowing for fans.The band will release their new album STIGMAdigitally on June 21st (Physical copies on September 6) via Fearless Records and if their new single is anything to go by, it'll be a heavy one kids.Featuring the delectable back-and-forth singing/screams between CodyQuistad and BritonBond, alongside Seth Blake's daunting riffs, it won't be long before you're snapping your neck in unison to the beat. But if it's breakdowns you long for the most - you're gonna LOOOOOOVE what they've done with the closing seconds of the song.On the new track, the band shares:

"NAIL5 is a tribute to our fifth album and continuing to push the envelope in every way, and in this instance, the heavy side... We took the elements that we loved from our past discography and turned it all the way up. The message: You're either in or you're in the way."

Following on from the worldwide drop of 'Magnetic' while they were on stage at Knotfest in Melbourne, fans and critics turned their noses up to the melodic metal jam (myself included). However, I can safely say the song is a fucking bop and it grows on you with every spin. I'm all for diversity in music, not every song needs to be heavy or with a nasty breakdown, and Wage War are a band that consistently delivers a perfect blend of heavy and melodic with all of their records.Keen to see what else they've got cooking on this new one.Words by Paul ‘Browny’ Brown@brownypaul
