Heavy Hitters Bodysnatcher Open 2024 Era with 'Murder8' Feat. Hatebreed's Jamey Jasta

Warm up your crowd-killing muscles, 'cause flattening Flordia four-piece Bodysnatcher have dropped a furious new single ahead of the release of their upcoming EP Vile Conduct. 'Murder8' is a devastatingly heavy cut, with the deeply personal lyrics as crushing as the track's hammering beatdowns and riffs. Speaking on the inspiration behind the song, drummer/vocalist Chris Whited commented:

"'Murder8' is a street name for Fentanyl. I lost my older brother in 2022 to fentanyl and then I lost my younger sister just one year later in 2023 to fentanyl as well. Opioids have been prescribed at alarming rates since the early 2000’s and have affected millions of families across the world, especially the United States. If you have lost someone due to overdose this song goes out to you."

As if the track doesn't have enough energy behind it, Hatebreed legend Jamey Jasta pops up for a guest spot during the two-stepping bridge - while the star-power also extends to the production team, with Bodysnatcher working with uber-producer Will Putney for the first time. Out the 20th of April, Vile Conduct will see a limited, early, vinyl-only release to coincide with Record Store Day - though at this stage we're unsure of the availability of it outside of The USA.

Bodysnatcher's last release, 2022's Bleed-Abide, was one of the year's heaviest - if not the heaviest - metalcore albums, and 'Murder8' shows that there is no doubt that Vile Conduct promises to be a continuation of the punishing style the band has built their name on.
