After dominating Australian stages last year with SuicidalTendencies, it seems MikeMuir is a sucker for punishment because he's heading back for some shows with HUGE names in his side-project InfectiousGrooves - making their appearance down under for the first time since playing at Soundwave Festival in 2008, 16 long years ago!The funk metal band have been announced for Bluesfest on April 1st and the lineup is certainly going to turn heads with Mike announcing a cavalcade of musicians teaming up for this tour - including bassist RobertTrujillo, drummer JayWeinberg, and guitarists Dave Kushner and DeanPleasants.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibmHT7ZqgcQ&t=126sIn a lengthy Instagram post, the punk rocker shared:"Unfortunately our brother, drummer Brooks Wakerman was not available to do this run of shows due to Avenged Sevenfold dates. Drummer for IG is definitely not an easy gig to fill. Starting with Stephen Perkins (Infectious Grooves) on drums, then followed with a 17 year old Josh Freese (Foo Fighters etc) and then came a 14 year old Brooks (The Teenage Drum Sensation) Wakerman, IG has always been blessed with some amazing drummers. IG is beyond stoked and honored to be able to have the incredible Jay Weinberg to be the driving force as he beats the funk out of the drums on this run!
