Suicidal Tendencies marked their 40th Anniversary celebration of their iconic 1983 self-titled debut at a sold out Triffid show.

Opener Krave brought their A-game to their hometown, with Siana Davi‘s dynamic vocals. The crowd caught the infectious vibe, making it clear that Krave is a musical powerhouse. The band’s last song ‘I’m Alive‘ showcased Siana’s impressive screams and growls, leaving a lasting impression. Mannequin Death Squad, a dynamic Melbourne duo, delivered an impressive performance, seamlessly powering through a set of irresistibly catchy melodies.

You know you’re in for one hell of a night when people are crowd-surfing before the band have even hit the stage. The instant Cyco hit the stage, his connection with the audience fueled the energy of the night. The band opens their set with ‘Suicides an Alternative‘, ‘I Shot Reagan‘ and ‘Memories of Tomorrow‘. On bass is Tye Trujillo (son of Robert Trujillo). This guy added a cool factor on stage, making the bass not just an instrument but a statement in Suicidal Tendencies‘ powerful performance.

Ben Weinman (ex-Dillinger Escape Plan) was his usual best. Jumping about the stage, and magnifying the band’s intensity. The band ripped through their set with ‘Institutionalized‘, ‘Suicidal Failure‘, ‘Cyco Vision‘ and of course ended the set with ‘Pledge Your Allegiance’ and inviting the crowd on stage to join them for one hell of a singalong.

It was a sweaty night filled with pure energy and that special bond between the band and fans creates an unforgettable experience that goes beyond just the music. It’s those shared moments that make live music truly extraordinary.
