Carnifex have once again summoned their malevolent auditory onslaught from its dark abyss, resurrecting it in the form of cacophonous new single, ‘Necromanteum’.
The latest sonic blitzkrieg by these Californian deathcore titans is executed with a finesse that transcends sheer brute force, but compromises not an iota of the impetus behind its sonorous assault. Spawning with an ensemble of twisted and sinister-sounding strings, it’s not long before a barrage of guitars, drums and paint-peeling screams are unleashed upon us, like an apocalyptical upheaval rising from the depths.
‘Necromanteum’ will have you gasping for air as it devours you in a suffocating blanket of dissonance, in conjunction with eerie chorales and decimating breakdowns, whilst at other points administering a good old-fashioned, straight-forward bludgeoning to the face.
The music video accompanying the release of ‘Necromanteum’ is scheduled to premiere in Australia at 1 am, 7th July 2023 (below). The song (out now on streaming platforms) is also the title-track off their upcoming record, scheduled for release on 6th October 2023.
