It's been a massive week for Josh Middleton - not only did he announce his amicable departure from Architects (after joining the band one last time opening for Metallica), but he also announced his comeback to Sylosis, who have surprised fans with the announcement of their sixth studio album A Sign Of Things To Come - set for release on September 8th via Nuclear Blast.
“This has been a homecoming for me, in many ways! We’re confident that we’ve created something special with our new record and we can’t wait for you to hear the new music over coming months ahead of the release in September.”
The record also marks Josh's debut as a producer, which in turn made him push himself better than ever before as he explains,
“This is the first time I’ve allowed myself to be produced; taking on some brutal criticism and pushing myself to deliver the best vocal performance of my career. I’m a big fan of progressive and long albums, but I was ruthless on myself during the whole process. I think that shows in the final result on the record!”
And to celebrate the news, the band have released a new single to follow on from the previously dropped release 'Deadwood'. This new jam 'Poison For The Lost' is a fast and furious metal anthem, complete with plenty of screams, chuffy AF riffs and a ferocious sound that'll no doubt stand against Trivium's last three perfect album releases, proving Sylosis are a metal force to be reckoned with.
If this is a taste of what's to come, then once again sign us the fuck up!
