At Long Last… AVATAR Are Finally Coming To Australia!
The news we’ve all been waiting for has arrived – one of metal’s most distinguished bands, AVATAR, are finally popping their Australian Tour cherry with an East Coast Run in celebration of their new album!
We first introduced you to the Swedish act back in February, and now the news is out, we’re counting down the days until we’ll finally be able to see what the rest of the world has been raving about when the group hit our shores in August to play tracks from their extensive back catalogue, including 2020’s Hunter Gatherer and new album Dance Devil Dance which took out the #1 spot on iTunes Rock/Metal charts upon release.
But don’t take our word for it, here’s a coupla fun facts you may not know about the band:
- Iron Maiden loved them so much, they took them out on tour
- The late Vinnie Paul claimed Dimebag would have been jealous of their riffs
- They’ve had mega-star cameos on their albums, including Halestorm‘s Lzzy Hale, and a sneaky Corey Taylor cameo on ‘A Secret Door‘
- When Matt Heafy of Trivium had to skip a few shows on their own tour for the birth of his twins, his choice to fill in for him was Avatar‘s Johannes Eckstrom
Need more convincing? Do your own personal deep dive, suss out their music videos and familiarise yourself with the world of AVATAR – you won’t regret it.
