Reacquaint Yourself with Young Lions! New Track ‘Kaleidoscope’ Absolutely Slaps.

It’s been a hot minute since Brisbane/Meanjin band Young Lions graced our earholes with new material. Their last single ‘Pilgrim‘ dropped at the end of 2020 and the band embarked on a string of shows before frontman Zach Britt hopped back into the Dream On, Dreamer farewell tour commitments AND popped up in new hip-hop-meets-punk trio Trust alongside Mo Yousif, and Mikey Richards from Violent Soho.

Now the focus is back on Young Lions and their killer new track ‘Kaleidoscope‘ which is giving me major sing-along inducing vibes with a pop punk/alt-rock sound that’s just so addictive, it’ll have you smashing that replay button in no time. With Ryan Allison, Morgan Castle and Matt Gibson playing behind him, this offering once again showcases how much of a powerful frontman Britt is… and why – now his other projects have slowed down or come to an end – we should direct our attention back to YL.

The band shared their excitement about their comeback song (and album) on socials, revealing:

“It’s been a massive few years for us all personally. From some of us having kids, changing jobs, moving houses, COVID, etc… it’s been a lot. Music has always been an escape for us, and to be back with a release that we are really psyched on after a long and tough break feels like such a breath of fresh air. We’ve all come a long way and the brotherhood has never been stronger heading into this release. I think the biggest change has been our respect for each other. We can talk things out and we know each other’s strengths and also where we can help each other be our best. The songs on our next album are so honest and we’re in the best headspace we’ve ever been to do this.”

Eagle-eyed viewers will notice the wording try see things different scattered throughout the video, which could be the title of their upcoming, yet-to-be-announced album and we’re keen AF to see what else they’ve been working on!
