Earth Caller Release Huge New Track ‘Alone’
In the year since we’ve heard from Melbourne’s Earth Caller, they have grown in sound and lineup. Welcoming Misstiq as the newest permanent band member in January, the metalcore group’s latest single ‘Alone’ is the best way to jump into their huge sound. Let’s dive in.
Vocalist Josh Collard instantly pulls you in with heartfelt cleans alongside melodic synths, keys and vocalisations by Misstiq. The melodies transition effortlessly into emotionally gripping choruses begging for help. These choruses up the ante with heartfelt harmonies before breaking into heavy anger. The classic metalcore formula is utilised here, complete with an epic post-bridge breakdown using vocalisations and chuggy guitars. The tried-and-true structure here does not detract from the power ‘Alone’ provides all the way to the thumping and heavy end.
‘Alone’ perfectly showcases Earth Caller’s range and power as a five-piece. This song about love has been shown the love, and I’m excited to check out their upcoming record, with more details coming soon.
