Perth’s Xenobiotic Burst in ‘Autophagia’ Off Hate Monolith EP

On the back of their 2020 LP, Perth deathcore outfit Xenobiotic have returned with an upcoming EP called Hate Monolith. The five-track release will include lead-single ‘Autophagia‘ and is their first drop since their 2020 Mordrake album. The West Aussies’ 2022 EP Hate Monolith will come out on 2 September via Unique Leader Records.

‘Autophagia‘ does not mess around, this is a heavy f*cking track and the world isn’t ready for it. Xenobiotic fuse their historic death metal elements with modern breakdown aspects that intertwine ever-so-seamlessly. The band’s production/mixing quality is stepped up and the final release sounds absolutely remarkable. The vocals are relentlessly menacing and the riffs are super tight.

On the forthcoming EP, Xenobiotic comments:

“Hate Monolith is about my discontentment for the state of humanity. When writing for the EP I was going through a lot of anger directed at myself through things I should have changed, but I wanted to lash out at someone other than myself. In my eyes I see humanity as born to kill itself, and it makes me disgusted to be a part of a race I loathe so much.”
