Support: The Last Martyr

After being postponed god knows how many times, we finally caught Black Veil Brides at the first show of their Aussie Tour and to say it was worth the wait would be an understatement! Monica Strut of opening act The Last Martyr worked the stage like a fierce woman on a mission to connect and it was certainly noticeable. A huge step up for the band from their UNIFY slot. They worked hard to prove their worth.

Then the one and only Black Veil Brides hit the stage running, sporting their matching costumes which really gave the show that theatrical spin, compared to your usual Saturday night concert outing. Despite having a couple of minor mic issues, frontman Andy Biersack‘s charm won over the crowd when he stated we’d all have “a reason to make fun of him on the car ride home”. What a performer… and and don’t get me started on that smile. Honourable mention of the night (for me personally) goes to ‘Knives and Pens‘ which went off and that closing song (no spoilers here) was the icing on delicious darkened wedding cake.
