Waterparks Scale Back To Their Origins with 'Funeral Grey'

I've personally always found Waterparks very hit-or-miss, but this next little number they've just brought to the surface is a proven hit.

Merely a year since they dropped their fourth LP, Greatest Hits, US pop/rockers Waterparks are back to their catchy pop goodness in 'Funeral Grey'. Produced by Zakk Cervini, Awsten Knight's melancholy vocals really shakes up the song's moody essence. With a track title like that, we were full expecting this to hit hard in the emo feels and continue their eclectic stance on producing alternative songs of a new calibre.

While it does continue to progress their unique brand of captivating pop/rock jams, 'Funeral Grey' also sees the trio scaling it back slightly to earlier sounds that we frothed from the boys on 'Stupid For You' and 2019's Fandom. Yeah, it takes a few listens to really feel it, but once you're in tune, you're hooked on that unforgettable melody.
