Watch the Trailer for Tom DeLonge's Directorial Debut Film Monsters of California

After years and months and weeks and days of Tom DeLonge spruiking that it was coming - we finally get to lay our eyes on the pop-punk god's first directorial debut of a feature film - Monsters of California!

The movie, as you can imagine, is a coming sci-fi infused of age story with creatures that have fascinated Tom throughout his life - Big Foot, Aliens and the Government who have been trying to hide them from us all (sound familiar?)

The plot reads:

After discovering research left behind by a missing government agent, Dallas Edwards and his misfit high school friends embark on a righteous and dangerous adventure to uncover a paranormal conspiracy in Southern California that brings them face-to-face with some of the government’s most guarded mysteries.

After giving the trailer a spin, you can tell it is infused with DeLonge's charisma and jokes (especially that final one-liner). The upcoming movie follows on from Tom's first dance with the film industry where he produced and scored the 2011 space flick LOVE - featuring Angels & Airwaves throughout the soundtrack and movie. When discussing Monsters of California, Tom revealed:

“Anyone who knows me, or follows me on social media, knows I’m no stranger to the paranormal, which is why directing Monsters of California was a no brainer... The film takes my fascination with the unexplained, combines it with the skate culture I grew up a part of, and tosses in my ridiculous sense of humor that millions got to witness during my Blink-182 days. In recent years, I’ve had the good fortune of helping the Government remember how much they care about UFOs through the work we do at To The Stars, and it’s that experience which helped inspire this movie. I can’t wait for audiences to see the f**ked up fun adventure these kids go on.”

Monsters of California stars Tony Award® Nominee Richard Kind (Big Mouth, Curb Your Enthusiasm), veteran actor Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers), Emmy Award® Nominee Arianne Zucker (Days of Our Lives), Sports Illustrated model Camille Kostek, Gabrielle Haugh (Jeepers Creepers 3) and newcomers Jack Samson, Jared Scott, and Jack Lancaster.

The film premieres in Theaters and On Demand October 6th 2023!
