Organised Chaos Act STRANGE UNIT Drop 'SCARED A YEAR TO DEATH' + Announce EP Series

Alright, time for a local fun one with the lads from Geelong's Strange Unit!

The band that labels themselves as rockalternativepunkmentalnoisehardcoregrungepop have debuted the lead single from their upcoming EP ONE release and it harks back to the chaotic sounds of early DZ Deathrays, Death From Above, The Chariot and Refused - meaning if you like heavy noise rock in your ears, you're gonna love these lads! The band are set to release a series of four-track EPs in 2022 so if you're jumping on the bandwagon now, great timing.

The new song 'SCARED A YEAR TO DEATH' (as described by the band):

"is an absurdist anthem, the result of an ADHD brain dealing with the trappings of the COVID era. Part automatic-writing meets pop culture musings spewed over aggressive, hardcore pop."

When you hit play, you'll know exactly what I mean when the jarring guitars kick in and we're met with Scott Lee Andrews' crisp vocals alongside a tasty Dylan Callanan bassline. Once the chorus starts, you'll be in instant mosh mode, ready to throw yourself into the nearest wall thanks to Lee Wise's drums. If you went nuts for DZ Deathrays' classic 'Gina Works At Hearts' back in the day, then this will have you coming out of mosh retirement in an instant!

A band like this is few and far between, so if you like what you hear, follow them up!

Strange Unit is Scott Lee Andrews (vocals/guitar/noise), Dylan Callanan (bass) and Lee Wise (drums).
