If you haven’t had the chance to watch it yet – In Hearts Wake‘s new documentary Green is the New Black is a wide-eyed MUST SEE about how this band managed to carbon offset their last album Kaliyuga – amidst a global pandemic mind you – and the struggles and lessons they learned along the way in the process. It’s an insightful look at how this band have evolved over the years to become warier of the impact their band is having on the world around them and what they’re doing to change that.
If you missed the cinema run, the band will be having a special Pay-Per-View of the doco on Tuesday 17 May, along with a live Q&A hosted by the band afterwards AND they’ll be planting one tree for every admission purchased. The news comes as the boys also announced a massive 27 date Australian Tour alongside Redhook, Pridelands and Banks Arcade. Tickets to the screening and the tour will be available from 9am AEST Wednesday 4 May via inheartswake.com.
Any fans that purchase a ticket to GREEN IS THE NEW BLACK Tour before 11:59pm AEST Sunday 15 May will gain automatic access to the Pay Per View screening and Q&A – so gather your friends and get on to tickets quick.
Then In Hearts Wake hit the road across Australia kicking things off in Bunbury, WA on August 18th before stopping in cities around the country such as Darwin, Gladstone, Toowoomba, Central Coast, Geelong, Hobart, Adelaide, Gold Coast and Byron Bay (to name a couple). The tour commences in August and wraps up in Byron Bay on Sat Oct 22 at The Northern.
On the massive tour, the band says:
“After not being able to tour properly for the past two years, it is our great pleasure to announce this huge national run of shows and return to towns that we love. We are also excited to take this new touring model out on the road and keep learning along the way. We cannot wait to celebrate Green Is The New Black with you!”
