Kennyhoopla Embarks on New Era in 'Dirty White Vans//'

He was the go-to in new wave pop punk during the pandemic thanks to his smash hit 'ESTELLA//', but Kennyhoopla is ready to put that all behind him. His talent is undeniable and it proves he's quite the diverse artist, expecially with latest track 'Dirty White Vans//'.
The track, naturally produced by the g.o.a.t that is Travis Barker and Dwilly, follows up on the singer's brilliant SURVIVORS GUILT// mixtape last year (review here) with its infectious emo pop beats and discreet rap style intertwining the verses. The singer speaks of the song's curation:
“Travis and I were just in the studio, and I wanted to make some rap shit to kind of show a different side of me. Dwilly and Travis made the beat. I caught a vibe and wrote to it…I’ve had that hook on my phone for years now; I’ve just been waiting for the right beat to put it on. This one fit really well, so I recorded it and it was dope.”
If you feel like this whole new wave pop punk revolution has begun to present a stale taste in your mouth, well, one listen to Kennyhoopla will entice you back in to this wave. 'Dirty White Vans' sees the rap-based singer evolve from his pop punkier tracks with a demeanour that's scarcely seen in the genre. WE highly commend him for constantly pushing boundaries and exploring outside the box.
