The City Are Living the Neon Dream with ‘Caffeine Fiend’

Melbourne rock act The City this week announced that their forthcoming new record, Neon Dreams is coming to us on March 11, and we couldn’t be more stoked for the boys after listening to the album’s leading single, ‘Caffeine Fiend (Living the Dream)’.

Delivering a manic blend of nu-metal, rock and pop influences, this upcoming heavy act have managed to concoct a punchy song that’s as addictive as your morning coffee. The track itself is a direct play on the song title itself, and you really don’t need to read between the lines on this one. Frontman Vaughan Sullivan shares:

If this song helps get you through the day, then we’ve achieved something! Stay hungry, if you’re not happy with your current lifestyle, work harder and change your situation to match your goals.”

Following the release of ‘Caffeine Fiend’ will be the band’s brand new album, Neon Dreams. If this banger is anything to go by, you can expect the new LP to pack in plenty of hooks and melodies that’ll keep you up all night. Can’t wait!
