In what can only be described as the weirdest and best way to wrap up the year, Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced the return for former guitarist John Frusciante on social media, revealing they've parted ways with Josh Klinghoffer who joined the band in 2009 following Frusciante's second public departure.

Massive news for long term fans who have grown up with John behind the guitar and now, all seems right again with the four piece. Not to discredit Josh in any way, but John has so much history with the band that dates back well before he was even on the scene.

How do you feel about the news?

The band were here earlier in the year with Josh and sadly their show in Tasmania which we covered was riddled with stage issues, nothing to do with the band, but the venue did lose power which took a bit of time to get back up and running again.
