A Metal Knight's Tale: Knight And Day Fest AfterFilm Premiering Monday Night!
Knight And Day Festival at Kryal Castle in Ballarat was the music festival the entire country had been waiting for and boasted a huge return to form for Australia's heavy music scene following a two year hiatus caused by the dreaded COVID pandemic.
Were you there? Wall of Sound sure were (our review here) and we've documented our adventures and escapades with our first official afterfilm/documentary! Boss Man Paul 'Browny' Brown and interviewer extrordinaire Ebony Story stormed the castle gates to bring you a comprehensive look at the festivities that took place, the performances, the moshing and of course, getting you up close and personal with stacks of the bands from the lineup.
Read the afterfilm synopsis below:
After enduring two years without tours or shows, a severe lack of government support and frustrating postponements and cancellations, promoters Destroy All Lines were finally able to produce the biggest New Year's Eve event in the Australian heavy music calendar - Knight And Day Festival - a two day marathon of medieval madness featuring co-headliners Polaris and Parkway Drive + a plethora of Australia's crème de la crème hitting the stages across Kryal Castle in Ballarat, VIC.
Wall of Sound's Paul 'Browny' Brown and Ebony Story documented their adventures throughout the grounds speaking with bands and fans about the return of heavy music festivals down under, to gauge their opinions on the new, unique location, their feelings of being back on stage and to suss the general vibes flowing throughout.
Featuring cameos from the likes of Polaris, Trophy Eyes, The Beautiful Monument, Windwaker, Void of Vision, Paperweight, and more, A Metal Knight's Tale: Knight And Day Fest will take you back in time to the moment where everything fell back into place and we were all able to forget our worries and get lost in the music again!
Did you know that Polaris are working on new material already? Trophy Eyes are trying hard to please fans and satisfy their own musical growth with their new music. Windwaker signed with Fearless Records and debuted their killer cover of the Britney Spears classic 'Toxic' LIVE for everyone in attendance and The Beautiful Monument were finally reunited with each other, after spending two years apart due to band members being spread across three states.
