Sydney’s Bloom kept things pretty lowkey and under wrap for the majority of 2021. The boys ended up putting their heads together throughout lockdown, wrote some new music and are kicking off 2022 with a set on Unify 2022. Before we hear the long awaited follow-up to In Passing though, hear how vocalist Jono Hawkey got through the year known as 2020 version 2…

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT RETURNING TO THE STAGE?
Cannot fucking wait, bring on BLOOMIFY baby. It’s going to be an absolute blast seeing so many friends and playing to so many people.
HOW DID YOU STAY BUSY THROUGHOUT THE PAST TWO YEARS?
Doing what we could to keep writing, in between lockdown 1 and 2 we were lucky enough to go away together for a week to write new music. We got to tour with Thornhill and recently tracked our next release remotely with Christopher Vernon in Melbourne.
BEST ADVICE GOING INTO 2022?
Get a ticket to BLOOMIFY (aka Unify Gathering), travel and visit your friends who you haven’t seen in a long time. Do shit that makes you happy. Don’t do the shit that doesn’t.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO IN 2022?
BLOOMIFY at the start of the year really sets the tone for what we hope next year to be. We’ll also be putting out our next release and have already locked in a few tours we cannot WAIT to announce. Here’s to hoping it turns out as good as we hope it will.
