You know who had a great year despite all the covid setbacks? Hardcore heroes Wildheart!
The boys released their new album Global Crisis (our review here) and screamed louder than ever before, making an impact with their singles ‘Backburner’, ‘False Hope / Fake Happiness’ and ‘Out For Blood‘. They also made a guest appearance on episode 12 of Educate Ebony talking about the Comeback Kid and For The Fallen Dreams albums that helped shape their lives, so we had to get frontman Axel Best back in to talk about the year that was and the albums, EPs and songs he was tuning into the most throughout the year – turns out those creative juices inside him couldn’t be stopped because outside of Wildheart, he also new music with his side project Glitter Strip.

Stoked to be able to share the stage with my friends again and to be able to play new tracks!
HOW DID YOU STAY BUSY THROUGHOUT THE PAST TWO YEARS?
Wrote and released an album with Wildheart. Released a demo and a single with Glitter Strip. Probably spent too much time playing games and took up playing golf.

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO IN 2022?
Playing UNIFY Gathering with some of my favourite bands and seeing so many old faces I haven’t seen in a few years there!
