Gee, Totally Unicorn sure love poking the bear with their music, don't they? This time, they're poking fun at the relatonships we have with our friends and why some just don't seem to work out as much as others. In the ferocious fire of a single, 'Fri(ends)' sees the Sydney punk outfit team up with legendary Frenzal Rhomb vocalist Jason Whalley and producing some of their grungiest guitars yet, while also calling out for a much-needed catch up with old mates. Frontman Drew Gardiner reminisces on the new track:

"People that were once staples in your everyday life, now strangers you pass in the street. It's something that most people experience in life and it's even more relatable now, with so many of us relying on screens to stay in touch, which, let's face it, isn't enough to sustain some relationships. Thankfully, our friendship with Jason Whalley of Frenzal Rhomb fame has endured, and we were lucky enough to have him feature on this song, keep an eye out for his handsome head in the video."

The song is the third single to be released from the band's forthcoming album, High Spirits/Low Life, out on February 18 through Farmer & the Owl/BMG. Alongside 'Trust Fund Glee' and 'Yeah Coach', you can most definitely expect to get even more humour about the misfits' daily lives on this record next year.
