In news that made me stand up in bed this morning, Cannibal Corpse frontman and bearer of the hugest neck in metal, George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher is releasing his first solo album Corpsegrinder in February 2022.

The ten song opus will be co-produced by Jamey Jasta (Hatebreed) and Nick Bellmore (Dee Snider, Kingdom Of Sorrow). Bellmore has worked with rock legend Dee Snider, who recently produced his own solo record with Jasta. The album Leave a Scar featured ‘Time To Choose’, a track on which Corpsegrinder guested on.

Corpsegrinder said about the new album:

"When Jamey approached me to do this record, I was fired up to get into the studio with Erik Rutan and record the vocals! It's a mix of Death Metal, Thrash and Hardcore, and it sounds heavy as hell!!! I'm really excited about it, and I can't wait for the world to hear it!!!"

Jamey Jasta adds:

"Working with George has been a dream come true, he's one of the best dudes in metal and one of the most brutal voices EVER. He's outdone himself on this album!”

The album will also feature a guest appearance from guitarist Erik Rutan (Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal) on the track Acid Vat’Corpsegrinder is also giving fans the opportunity to contribute to the album by getting their names immortalized in his "thanks" list.
