Slaves (US) Rebrand As Rain City Drive with First Single ‘Cutting It Close’

Just a little over a year ago after they released their To Better Days record, US post-hardcore act Slaves closed the doors on what is Slaves as we know it. With the band's history involving a lineup change from founding member Jonny Craig to current vocalist Matt McAndrew, the guys collectively came to a decision that it was time for a new restart.

After much delay, the five piece have now officially rebranded as Rain City Drive and revealed the edgy yet intense 'Cutting It Close'. The song is a blend of the band's melodic, alternative/rock style from their last album. Hard hitting riffs bounce inbetween the emotive poppier melodies, producing a crunchy hook to reel us in. It's a refreshing new start for the boys, and will surely please longtime fans of the band.
