Alera Will Turn Heads With Expansive Single 'SMS'

Australia's newest post-hardcore five piece Alera have made promise on their ethos to deliver crushing emo nostalgia this year by offering up yet a searing new track called 'SMS'. Short for "sucre mort seraphin", the song is a rapid blend of riffs that'll tantalise your ears. Overall, the style the boys are pulling out here is edgy as fuck, which sees them expanding their nostalgic emo melodies and is exactly what we need to keep us on our toes to hear more of what Alera have to offer.

If you enjoyed their cryptic messages all over their social media this year, chances are you might have gotten involved with this one too. In the lead up to its release, the band sent out an image on social media which directed fans to send a text, enticing the use of the good ol' SMS. Fitting alright, given the name of the new track. These guys are just way too clever for us.

With 'SMS' the third track off of the band's debut EP, Beware the Snake set to drop on November 26, we can safely assume that Alera is going to be the band in everyone's ears next month. Looking forward to it guys!
