Trophy Eyes Return with Epic New Single ’27 Club’

Goddamn, it’s been some time since we heard from Newcastle rock outfit Trophy Eyes. But the boys are back, better than ever with brand new single ’27 Club’.

Building off of what the band perfected on their last album, The American Dream, ’27 Club’ sounds like a heavier, nuanced style from the band. They’re succumbing to those post-hardcore influences while still maintaining that rock edge from some of their biggest hits.

Vocalist John Floreani shares:

“27 Club is basically about the desire to not want to be alive. It’s not really a suicidal concept, but more a nihilistic numbness I’ve felt for as long as I can remember. The song begins with a scene from when I had passed out on my back, choking on my vomit before I was woken by my girlfriend, which I resented her for – pretty gruesome, sorry.”

The song is Trophy Eyes’ first part of a 3-single release that’ll be rolled out over the next few months with single #2 to follow very soon… the hype is real!
