Flangipanis Announce New Album + Drop New Single ‘Good Little Taxpayer’
Brisbane’s Flangipanis have been the heart and soul of the punk scene for well over a decade and the fact they still produce in your face hitters like this new song proves they’re a hidden gem just waiting to be found, by you!
Their new single ‘Good Little Taxpayer‘ is exactly what you think it’s about – the proces of waking up, going to work, doing your job, hating life, returning home and repeating the process the next day. You’l find yourself singing along to the chorus in no time as frontwoman Jodie Lawlor yell sher way back into our lives.
On the new song, the band revealed:
“The track is a veritable shopping list of day-to-day malaise from small time gripes to the loftiest of political targets exhorting the listener to set them all on fire. Afterall It’s 2021 and the ocean is already on fire, if the world is going to burn we may as well burn it our way! Accompanying the track is a film clip that sees the band recast as the evil all-encompassing Flange Corp grinding our hero into the ground until he explodes in a scene of workplace carnage that would make Office Space blush.”
But wait, there’s more!
The song comes from the band’s forthcoming album Fuckin’ Woo which is set for release on October 29th and the band will be playing a launch show at the zoo on November 5th alongside The Meat, SLOJ, Burnt Trash and The Wolston Butchers (tickets here) before wrapping up the year supporting Frenzal Rhomb throughout December/January 2022.
