Banks Arcade Sign to UNFD and Unleash Scorching New Single ‘Don’t Start’

Say hello to UNFD’s brand new signing, New Zealand-born, now Melbourne-based outfit Banks Arcade. The band showed massive promise with their sophomore EP, Fever Dreams last year and since then we’ve been hanging on to hear what they come up with next. Oh boy, let me tell you now, their brand new single is the fresh dose of nu-metalcore we all needed in our lives this week.

Drawing us in a meaty blend of jarring melodies intertwined with a crunchy nu-metal edge, ‘Don’t Start’ is the beginning of the best we’ve heard from Banks Arcade. The track sees the band showing confidence in a song that aims fire at those who try and shut us down. Vocalist Joshua O’Donnell highlights:

“The song is aimed at those who try to tear us down behind closed doors but would never have the guts to front up and say something in person. It also speaks to the fact that most people talking shit the loudest are only doing it because they are threatened by you. It’s important to back yourself and not get too caught up on what others say.”

It’s an absolute scorcher of a single for UNFD’s newest band, and I am gunning to hear even more from the boys! Catch them at UNIFY Gathering 2022, no doubt they’ll be a surprise hit of the entire weekend – Full Lineup here
