Japanese metalcore band coldrain have been quiet this year, and hadn't posted on social media for all of 2021 until this month, when they entered from the shadows to tease fans with what's coming. Well, on this fine #NewMusicFriday, coldrain have delighted us with their brand new single 'PARADISE (Kill The Silence)', their first release since their 2019 album The Side Effects.

We know that Japan have created an incredibly strong reputation for heavy music in the past few years, with Crossfaith and Babymetal just to name a few, and coldrain have carved out a unique sound, and a big name in the metalcore world, since The Revelation in 2013. Well, let's take a look at 'PARADISE (Kill The Silence)' and see what the Nagoya band has in store for us.

Spanning just under four-minutes, 'PARADISE (Kill The Silence)' gives us a taste of coldrain's entire flavour, with some new elements as well. With a poppy undertone and a cumulative rhythm, they ease into the track. Lead vocalist Masato Hayakawa is tuned down compared to the rest of the band who unleash screeching guitars and yelling backing vocals. Definitely keen to see what else the band have in store for us this year.

coldrain haven't revealed any EP/album info yet, but hopefully that won't be far away with the release of their new single 'PARADISE (Kill The Silence)' proving they're back on the scene.
