Birds Of Tokyo Release Collaborative Breakup Song ‘Superglue’ feat. Stand Atlantic’s Bonnie Fraser
You love to see it – Birds of Tokyo have released a brand new collaborative single and it’s with someone very special and close to our hearts within the Australian alternative music scene – Bonnie Fraser of Stand Atlantic!
The song in question is ‘Superglue‘ and it’s a sappy breakup anthem that’s gonna pull on the heartstrings (an angle Birds of Tokyo have been honing in on following frontman Ian Kenny‘s divorce) and it’s a strange, yet awesome feeling to imagine this will be getting played on commercial radio across the country – meaning Stand Atlantic will FINALLY get some mainstream recognition like they so rightfully deserve!
On the song’s structure, the band always knew it needed to be told from two different points of view and the boys couldn’t go past Bonnie’s inclusion according to guitarist/songwriter Adam Spark:
“We always heard this song as coming from two distinct viewpoints so it made sense to share the vocals and get both sides of the story… We’re all fans of Stand Atlantic so Bonnie was the first name on our list. Hopefully we can get to play the song live together somewhere when borders eventually reopen.”

Does this mean we could potentially see Stand Atlantic opening for Birds of Tokyo in future years? Well that’s one sure way to get your parents and/or kids together for a family outing isn’t it! Bonnie also shared her reasons for teaming up with the band:
“We are so excited to team up with Birds of Tokyo for ‘Superglue’. The guys have been a staple of Australian rock music for years and so when they asked us to be a part of the release it was a no- brainer.”
