Wolf & Chain Kick Off A New Era with ‘An Unfortunate Tale of Two Lovers and an Insatiable Taste of Poison ‘

Adelaide’s Wolf & Chain are well and truly channelling our nostalgic past, with their crazy throwbacks to My Chemical Romance, Panic! at the Disco and Fall Out Boy. After crashing onto the scene with their debut EP, An Honest Mistake, the band have now just unveiled that their brand new EP, Amor Mortal will drop on October 29. Dropping today is the first track off of that EP, ‘An Unfortunate Tale of Two Lovers and An Insatiable Taste of Poison’ and it’s a seering blend of their emo/goth sonics we’ve become so familiar with.

Enticing us in with the band’s intricately dark guitar melodies, frontman Jack Cumes explains:

Poison is about blindness to love, how it can manipulate you, consume you and delude you. In the context of the fairytale world, it’s about this character who follows their lover down a dark and destructive path to becoming this ‘Bonnie & Clyde-esque’ junky couple, robbing hospitals for their fix. It overlays this darker shade on a fantastical ideal of love and escape.”

With the band’s new EP expected to drop just in time for Halloween, Wolf & Chain are set to become Australia’s new favourite theatrical emo-punk outfit and I can’t wait to see the band soar even higher come October.
