Belmont Smash Out A Cover of The Kid Laroi/Justin Bieber’s ‘Stay’

Whether you love the song or social media platforms like Tik Tok have obliterated its impact on you, you can’t deny that Australian pop artist The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber have produced one of the biggest tracks of the year with ‘Stay’. And if you’ve ever wanted to see a band give it new life aka Punk Goes Pop style, today’s the day.

Before you tell me “but Our Last Night just covered it”Our Last Night drop way too many cover songs and most of it kinda just goes amiss. However, when a band does a one off cover and absolutely nails it like Chicago pop punk outfit Belmont have, then yeah. It’ll definitely pique my interest.

While Belmont’s version of ‘Stay’ keeps the overall melody quite similar to the original, hearing that extra effect of punk rocky guitars is music to my ears and I can absolutely get down with this more than the original. Emo Night DJ’s, add this on your rotation because it will certainly be a dancefloor filler.

While you’re at it, Belmont released their new EP, Reflections (our review here) via Pure Noise Records earlier this year. The band dropped one of the most underrated releases of 2021, and I feel like they’ve got a big career ahead of them.
