Meet Sydney newcomers Bellwether and Their Fresh New Single 'Shortsighted'

This one's for all you nostalgia freaks. Bellwether is about to become Australia's newest pop punk sensations as they bounce into the scene with their punchy new track 'Shortsighted'. Drawing us in with a moody guitar hook before building into a loud and raw singalong chorus that's tuned to the key of contemporary punk rock, the song kinda throws us back to 2000s emo/rock kings Kisschasy.
Guitarist Heath Joukhadar shares:
"‘Shortsighted’ is, in essence, a song about self-acceptance. It’s about confronting and admitting your own flaws, while at the same time accepting yourself for who you are and abandoning the expectations imposed onto you by others. That all being said, the song doesn’t take itself seriously, which is not only reflected by the message of the lyrics but also the numerous pop culture and meme references included throughout the track."
While the band were brought together from their bond over all things 2000s pop culture, the members initially joined forces from two previous Sydney bands, Oaks and Flicker. Led by frontman James Graham, Bellwether look like they're going to be force to be reckoned with down the track and I for one cannot wait to hear more!
