Asking Alexandria Set the Precedence for New Album with ‘Alone Again’

Their last album, Like A House On Fire saw them transcend into melodic post-hardcore territory and received super mixed reactions from fans, but Asking Alexandria are adamant on pushing forward. The band have been busy as heck with their time in lockdown and they’ve now just announced their brand new album, See What’s On the Inside is out on October 1 via Better Noise Music.

They’ve also dropped the first single from that album which will kinda set the precedence for what’s ahead. ‘Alone Again’ draws out cutting edge cleans from vocalist Danny Worsnop, mixing it up with a punchy rock melody that feels super in key with today’s radio-friendly rock superstars Escape the Fate and Papa Roach. Guitarist Ben Bruce reveals:

“‘Alone Again’ and the rest of this album is the result of us reconnecting and falling back in love with why we started this band in the first place. No frills or cheap tricks, just the five of us playing our instruments as hard and as loud as we can! At some point in our lives, we all feel lost and confused as to who we are and who we want to be, and I think this song will really unite all of us in that sense.

We are so excited to share, not only this new song with you all, but our new album. We went back to our roots as musicians and really wanted to reignite that passion and love for rock and metal music. Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Aerosmith, AC/DC….all the greats that we fell in love with as kids have greatly influenced this new album and we couldn’t be more excited!

Sounds like scaling back to the core of their musical roots was the fresh start the UK-based heavy hitters needed. Definitely keen to see more of what’s on the inside for Asking Alexandria over the next few months. See what I did there?
