Face To Face Prove They’re Still Punk Royalty with ‘Farewell Song’

It’s rare to witness a legendary music group conquering punk rock as well as they did during the early days throughout the 90s, but Face To Face are getting something right! While the band unleashed the news a few weeks ago that they’re back with a brand new album next month, they’re building incredible momentum right now with their arena-filled banger, ‘Farewell Song’.

A punk anthem through and through about letting go and moving on in life, the band have apparently mentioned that this track is their strongest song on the forthcoming release, with frontman Trever Keith highlighting:

“Scott [Shiflett] brought in ‘Farewell Song’ and at first I was reluctant to work on it because I thought it sounded like The Cure or something. However, as we were working on it, I realised that this was a song I could pour myself into as an artist and I think it’s one of the strongest songs on the album.”

As someone who was a little too young to remember Face To Face, I must admit I am digging this song way more than I let on. As WoS’ resident pop punk fangirl, I can definitely hear and resonate with the connections and inspiration that Face To Face had on some of my favourite 2000s pop punk acts (like Simple Plan and MXPX).
