Something Weird Is Going Down At WAAX Camp...

UPDATE: WAAX confirmed during the UNIFY 2022 Lineup Stream it's all a bit of fun promo for their upcoming single 'Most Hated Girl' - out September 1st.

WAAX have been coming up the ranks in Brisbane's alternative scene for a number of years and it finally seemed like they found their place and were gaining traction immensley, but today, a spanner has been thrown in the works that's got us going - wtf? The band have posted the following on their social media pages, indicating that they're on the search for a singer and it's left a lot of us are wondering... Where's frontwoman Maz DeVita?

Speculation at the moment is leaning towards the band recording group vocals or "guest/fan" input for an upcoming new song, but the thing that truly threw a spanner in the works was Maz's story reply on her own Instagram page which highlights that maybe she's not coming back at all...

Their social media pages have turned pink and nothing else is being said at the moment. In band world, this is usually an indication of the start of a new cycle or change, but with the way it's being handled, out minds are racing all over the joint. We've reached out to Maz in the meantime but we'll keep following this and keep you posted once we know more...
