Victorian alt/rock outfit Outloved released their captivating debut EP, Be There For Me last year in lockdown (our review here) and have become one of our favourite upcomers since then. The boys have been keeping their heads down, coming up with new material for us and now they’re finally ready to show us what else they’ve got.
‘It’s All Hate’ brings to light a catchy chorus, amidst pumping rock melodies that’ll definitely get you in the right moshing mood. The song dives into self sabotage, becoming fully aware of our own thoughts and the way we express these in the outside world.
Vocalist Jaydon Colvin sheds some light on the band’s latest work:
“The track was written in lockdown last year and has since been worked on until a couple weeks ago now. Co written/Produced/mixed by Ionei Heckenberg (Ocean Sleeper) and mastered by Ted Jensen, ‘It’s All Hate’ takes on the concept of your lowest emotions getting the better of you. The meaning behind the track is to not be blissfully ignorant to the way you feel and instead confront those feelings and work through them.”
Despite what the song is called, it’s all love from Wall Of Sound HQ for the Outloved boys though. They’re well on their way to becoming a frontrunner in today’s heavy music landscape, and they’re definitely keeping me on my toes to see what else they do next!
