Obliterate Your Senses with APATE’s New Single ‘Under My Skin’

Whoa, is all I have to say. Brisbane metalcore outfit APATE are here and they’re here to stay for the long haul. Their new track ‘Under My Skin’ will have your senses crawling quite literally under your skin, thanks in part to the band’s technical style added on this smashing song. Underneath all that chaotic synth and riff energy though is a song calling for you dive in even closer.

Vocalist Caleb Patch explains the band’s newest song and its underlying definition:

Lyrically it dives into an abusive relationship I was stuck in for far too long, touching on different red flags and inconsistencies that I realised I had been rationalising and gaslit into believing. I got to use this track as some catharsis and closure to a chapter of my life that I never wish to relive.”

Inspired by the gruelling sounds of HACKTIVIST, Alpha Wolf and Void of Vision, APATE will absolutely become your new favourite in the metalcore realm. The boys are set to fire even more our way in June when their EP, Rage is bestowed upon us all. What a fitting title. I have no doubt that this’ll be in everyone’s ears come June 25.
