Mirrors Go Next Level with Heavy Belter 'Beneath the Sand' & Resist Records Signing!

It's been quite some time since Victorian outfit Mirrors have been in the spotlight. Since blowing us away with their 2019 EP Cold Sanctuary, the boys from Gippsland have been knuckle deep in preparing for the band's next musical chapter. That is, a signing to Australian premier metal label Resist Records? HUGE!

To celebrate this massive feat, Mirrors are dropping their first single since COVID and they're extending what they did on Cold Sanctuary to new heights here. 'Beneath the Sand' is a song that dives deep into your own actions and thoughts (scary, right?), mimicking this so-called nightmare by kicking in with a heavy hitting verse before transcending into an atmospheric, soaring landscape that cuts deep. The blast beats are insane and will certainly kick start any hearts in desperate need of a jump start.

I think the band sums it perfectly here, highlighting:

"As sleep becomes scarce and you can't turn off the nightmare, knowing what's real and what's not can be a deep rabbit hole."

This song is absolutely a big step up by way of production and really does show off Mirrors as a tight heavy unit in Australian metalcore. Looking forward to seeing what else is to come from the band soon...
