Underoath Founding Member Corey Steger Passes Away At Age 42

Tragic news has struck in the Underoath camp as the band announce on their socials the sudden passing of one of the band's founding musicians Corey Steger. The ex-guitarist died in a car crash on 17 March, 2021.
Steger joined the original Underoath lineup in 1997 and released two albums with the band - Act of Depression in 1999 and Cries of the Past in 2000.
The band released the following message on Facebook:
"Yesterday we received news that shook us. Our friend and founding Underoath member Corey Steger died suddenly this week. He was an uncommonly caring person. He was constantly striving to be a better version of himself not just for himself but to be the best example of God’s love to his wife and two children who he loved more than anything. We would not be who we are without him, period. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Godspeed, Corey."
