Northlane Deliver The Goods With New Song ‘Clockwork’

Kick off your New Music Friday early with the announcement we’ve been waiting for, Northlane‘s brand spanking new song ‘Clockwork‘ has arrived and already it’s starting to make waves across the globe. The single sees the band continuing to hone in on that electronic sound they successfully dabbled in with their last album Alien, while still holding onto their heavy roots.

On the new track, frontman Marcus Bridge revealed:

“Clockwork reflects the pressures and anxieties I felt as we jumped back into writing after an uninspiring year. I always want to push myself creatively but with life on hold and with no end in sight, I felt empty and lonely, running out of time as our self-imposed deadline approached.”

Northlane: Now a four-piece following bassist Brendon Padjasek’s departure

The track has also been named the official theme song for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Oceanic Nationals eSports League 2021, so if you’re an avid gamer, chances are you’re gonna be hearing this pop up even more over the next few months!

Is this the start of Northlane’s next album cycle? Is it a one-off single? Time will tell, but until then, get it into ya!

It should also be mentioned that the band have parted ways with bassist Brendon Padjasek.
