The Offspring Announce New Album ‘Let the Bad Times Roll’ + Drop Title Track!

Around this time last year, Southern Californian punk rockers The Offspring announced their first ever headlining tour of Australia and managed to basically sell out (almost!) every show. While COVID-19 and this ongoing pandemic have put those tour plans on hold, it seems the band have kinda been working behind the scenes in lockdown looking for a way to make it up to us.

Announcing via social media last month, Dexter & Noodles hinted that new music is most definitely on the cards in 2021 and…that day is finally here! The Offspring have dropped their brand new single, ‘Let the Bad Times Roll’ which is a catchy pop punky blend of punk rock that sounds like the lads are channelling their prime Americana days. Hell yessss!

On the news, frontman Dexter Holland says:

“I feel like we’re in a unique period in history where instead of our world leaders saying ‘we’re doing our best’ it’s more like they’re saying ‘fuck it’ and its really scary.”

While guitarist Noodles chimed in with:

“Folks are saying, if it’s all going to Hell, we might as well make the most out of it, or at least go out swinging. ‘Let The Bad Times Roll!’”

But wait, there’s more! The track is set to appear on the band’s forthcoming tenth studio album, Let the Bad Times Roll which will be released on April 16 via Concord Records. Contrary to the album/song name, it looks set to be a big year for The Offspring indeed!

The Offspring is singer Dexter Holland, guitarist Noodles, drummer Pete Parada and new bassist Todd Morse.
