Attention: Live Music WITH MOSHPITS ARE BACK!!!
Well that was the case in Brisbane on Saturday night when Deadlights and Diamond Construct put on one hell of a show for the keen and eager metalheads who had been frothing at the mouth for at least a little sweaty pushpit since gigs were canned due to COVID last year… But, that wasn’t even the best part of the night!
Brissie/Greyscale Records lads Deadlights managed to sneak a new track into their set titled ‘Born of a Lie‘ and by doing so, they offered a glimpse of what they’ve been working on since the release of their last single ‘Sugarcoated Psychosis‘ back in 2019. On the new song, our reviewer Tamara May says:
“‘Born Of A Lie’ sounds like a renewed start for the band, featuring enchanting melodies that had the sold out Tivoli crowd fucking stoked…”
Don’t believe us, take a look at the video below!
Also, there were posted plastered all around the venue and Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley with the words I See The Future // All Is Lost and a QR Code which takes you to this website, where you’re greeted with a sample snippet and a countdown which is set to end at 4pm AEST (5pm AEDT) tomorrow…
It’s unclear whether this poster was associated with Deadlights‘ new track OR if it was related to one of the other bands on the lineup, but you better believe we’ll be all over this like a rash once we find out.
Stay tuned for our review and photo gallery from the gig, arriving tomorrow…
