Last year Perth's Saviour released their best album to date, A Luna Rose, which catapulted them into Australia's heavy music scene yet again and proved the West Australians have a talent that's dying to be heard and now, they're keeping the momentum flowing with the release of a reworked track that didn't quite make the cut for the album called 'Worlds Collide'.

Speaking to us about the new song's origins, frontman Bryan Best revealed:

"There were a handful of tracks that were unlucky not to make the cut to last year's album A Lunar Rose. Personally, I was pretty torn that 'Worlds Collide' didn't make it over the line last Feb. During lockdown, we sorta just started smashing out a heap of writing. We just released an album but there wasn't much else we could do at that stage besides write more stuff or do nothing at all. We managed to get the next release somewhat written and ended up with some spare time on our hands to revisit some tracks that got left in the dark."

He goes on to say that the reworked track sparked something in the band while they were trapped in lockdown with no means to tour or play songs from their latest release live, so, they did what any good band would do and got stuck into creating more music for us all:

"We revisited and reworked a couple tracks and 'Worlds Collide 2.0' ended up sounding pretty fun. The song meaning and feel still resonated with us. We thought just putting this out there would kinda let people know that we're still kicking on whilst we're actually deep into preparing our next release."

"The process of digging up and reworking an unused track was pretty cool. It annoys me how many tracks we have written over the journey that didn't end up seeing the light of day. This will probably be a venture we'll go on again."

And who doesn't love new music? Keen as hell to see what the band have been working on during COVID and what else they have up their sleeves! Revisit our review of A Luna Rose here and dive deep into the new track below!
